    Empire Mine, Belmont Mountain, Montana

    If you are a history buff, and like 4 wheel drive adventures, outside of Helena about an hour to an hour and a half from Helena there is an old mining claim that has a history behind it, some of the roads are a little rough so I recommend 4 wheel drive when going to find it. The Empire mine which has a rich history we stumbled across on one of our Sunday adventures. It amazes me that they were able to build these amazing places in the boom era. The roads are narrow and steep and yet there were workers, families and companies out in the middle of Belmont Mountain in Montana.Check it out you won’t be disappointed by the sheer beauty of the terrain surrounding it.
